Message About Season:
Welcome to the opening season of OA Swim and Dive for 2022-2023. Here are the specifics and what to know:
Practice starts the Monday after Thanksgiving and runs through the end of February, Monday through Friday. The pool for swim practices is TBD for 2023-2024 season.
Busses typically leave promptly from OAHS at 3pm and arrives back at OAHS by 6pm. (PLEASE NOTE THIS IS TENTATIVE, PRACTICE/BUS TIMES MAY CHANGE DUE TO BUS SHORTAGES. WE WILL UPDATE THE TEAM AS SOON AS IT IS CONFIRMED). Parents must be at school at arrival time. It’s cold, they are tired, and sitting outside with wet heads is asking for an illness. There is only one excused absence permitted where both coaches are notified prior to practice. If you are sick, do not come to practice but you must notify coaches beforehand. If school is canceled, swim practice/swim meet is also canceled (this includes if the pool/facility is also closed).
The meet schedule will be up and posted when it's completed.

- Water bottles are a must for every practice
- Athletes should practice nutrition- know when to eat, specifically, before practices. Bring snacks for ride in and ride out on bus
- Bathing caps
- Two swim suits
- Two towels
- Goggles
- Sneakers (in case we have drylands)
- Hats for the cold weather
- Coats
- Covid masks (optional)
