General Information

Oliver Ames Swim & Dive Team is a competitve high school varsity athletic program.  Their Boosters meet on a monthly basis, starting in September, and continue until the season ends in February. Any parent of an OA Swim and Dive athlete is encouraged to join the boosters. The objective of the boosters is to help provide a memorable experience for the student athlete and their parents. This is achieved through fundraising, parent/student volunteering, team building efforts, and of course a winning swim program. Oliver Ames Swim and Dive offers a unique student athlete experience. Unlike most other high school sports, boys and girls practice together, And, in addition, all classes of student athletes (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) are together as a team on a highly competitive varsity sport.

more info.....

OA Swim and Dive Fees: All OA high school athletes are required to pay an OA Athletic Fee. Swim and Dive programs, however, have additional costs, not covered by this fee. Swim & Dive Booster fees will pay for practice bus service, and a uniform (suit, cap) to keep.

Fundraising: All athletes are expected to help raise money for the OA Swim & Dive Boosters. These resources are used to pay for expenses such as the teams year end banquet, senior gifts, college scholarships, varsity jackets, and varsity letters. Currently, we plan for several fundraisers during the year, which help support the team and, in addition, build team spirit!!

Student Volunteering: Athletes will have volunteer opportunities throughout the season. Currently the OA Boosters help the Easton Lions Club with two of their popular venues (the Holiday Festival, and  the Annual Lions Club Auction). Both are great opportunities for athletes to perform community service (looks good on the college resume).

Parent Volunteers: We understand that your time is extremely valuable, so any help is appreciated. Parent volunteers can help in many areas, including:
    1. Hosting one (weekly) pasta dinner for the athletes.
    2. Time swimmers at swim meets (home meets only - no experience needed).
    3. Score-keep for meets (home meets only - no experience needed).
    4. Assist with fundraising events.
